Video Editing Begins...

As I had never used this software before I decided to research and find out how to use the tools in Adobe premier CS3. Here is some of the information I collected.

From this video I have learnt how to open a project properly in Adobe premier after it has been saved. This is an important skill to have learnt as opening the project wrongly could cause errors within the product.

This video clearly explains the different tool featured in Adobe Premier. By knowing how to sue these tolls and the tools available I will be able to offer advice and guidance to other member of my group as well as knowing possible effects and changes that can be made to the footage throughout the editing process.

As another part of my research into Adobe Premier I searched the help option available in the program itself and above is the advice and guidance I found on how to use the tools within the program.

On Tuesday 1st of February Me and Melissa looked through all of the footage our group has taken so far and picked out the best shots to be uploaded in to the Adobe Premier gallery, along with the footage we uploaded the song into the gallery. Once the song was uploaded we placed it in to the correct sound row.

Now we where able to begin lip sinking the footage to the music. When inserting the video clip you need to unlink the sound so you can place the image in the correct row and sound on the video will not mix with the uploaded song.

We then set about using a verity of tools to:
  • Cut the footage
  • Change the speed of the footage
  • Change the size of the shot
  • Change the color of the footage

Responsibilities:
  • Melissa was responsible for downloading the song track and uploading it to the software
  • I was responsible for showing Melissa how to use part of the program as she had never used Adobe Premier before
  • We where both responsible for sorting through the footage, selecting the usable footage, lip sinking the footage, editing the footage and adding effects.
