More Principal Photography

After researching and planning my other ancillary tasks ( the website and merchandise for the website) I had a meeting with Melissa to discuss the website and have arranged to have another day of photography, but this time use a blank white wall as the background. We have decided to use a blank white wall as a plain background with lighting affects. This us suitable for the ancillary tasks these pictures are being created for as well as the plain background being easy to cut out using the magic want tool in Photoshop.   We have arranged to do this on Sunday the 16th of January and will meet at my house as i have a suitable background which we can use lights to create effects on as well as having other props which can be used. 


After referring to my research which I had previously undertaken for these ancillary tasks I have decided that I need a range of mid shots and close up shots as these would be suitable and tie in with existing products. For example from my research i can see that the image on a keyring is a close up shot of the artists face or a smaller version is a poster with a mid shot image. I have decided that the shots i wish to create should be taken against the white wall with a light from either side to create a background effect with I think will be suitable. I have also decided that after looking at existing poster that I wish to create images with Melissa (Vanessa) sitting in an arm chair as this is another commonly used prop.


Furthermore I have decided the types of costumes I want Melissa to wear during the shoot as well as her hair and make up. I have decided that I want Melissa to wear her hair both up and down so I can use a verity and her make up to start of naturalistic and then bright. For example bright lip stick, eyeshadow and blusher. I have also decided that I want Melissa to bring a black dress, red dress and sparkle y T-shirt and jeans with a fur coat. I have decided to use a verity of outfits so there are a range of images included within the website and featured on my ancillary tasks.

Here are the products which influenced my designs, and I tried to re-create a Similar image to. To conform with the common codes and conventions and to tie in with existing products on the market.

As you can see the image focuses on Malissa face. With her eyes being a quarter of the way down the photograph so not all the top of her head is showing and only part o her neck. As we as Melissa (Vanessa) looking at the camera. This positioning is similar to existing products and suitable for a photograph on a keyring.

                   

As you can see from the image I have decided to use the same prop as used to create this poster, as well as using a relaxed pose as shown above.
